**The Opportunity**:

Our programs are designed to enhance dignity and respect, promote independence and prevent social isolation.

**We are looking for a full time Red Deer-dedicated Outreach Coordinator for a defined term ending December 31, 2025.**

**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Red Deer County-dedicated Outreach Coordinator is a Government-funded position is responsible for providing referrals and resources to older adults in Rural Central Alberta.

**Responsibilities**:

- Receives and follows-up on referrals involving adults aged 50+ living in rural Central Alberta.
- Assesses older adults and provides them with resources, information and referrals to Society programs and outside agencies/programs related to their needs.
- Maintains comprehensive and accurate statistical data to help meet reporting requirements.
- Maintains client files by ensuring accurate case notes.
- Acts as a resource or contact person for groups operating in or in conjunction with the Society.
- Works cooperatively with other staff to plan, implement and evaluate Outreach programs of the Society.
- Maintains a current knowledge of community services and opportunities through networking, presentations and cooperative projects as approved by the Executive Director.
- Maintains a current knowledge of legislation, benefits and government programs which affect older adults.
- Assists with updating the resource lists available for the public.
- Maintains a level of education and knowledge through regular, appropriate professional development as approved by the Executive Director
- Occasional other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Minimum 2 years of experience in the Human Services sector.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and computer skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and sensitivity to issues related to older adults.
- Ability to work independently within a team environment.
- Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities, and tight timelines.
- Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule; hours of work are typically 8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, evening and weekend work may be required based on programs and events.
- A vehicle and valid class 5 driver’s license.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 21 months

**Salary**: $21.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
