**PURPOSE OF POSITION**

As the Accounting Supervisor, you will be a key member of our finance department and will be reporting directly to the Chief Finance Officer. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day accounting operations. You will lead a team of finance professionals, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial/management reporting. Your role will be critical in providing valuable insights to our leadership team, guiding financial decisions, and maintaining compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

**SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Supervise and lead a team of accountants, providing direction, training, and mentorship.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll related functions.
- Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve financial efficiency.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis to support decision-making.
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
- Conduct periodic performance evaluations of team members and provide feedback for improvement.
- Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and ensure compliance with relevant laws and standards.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Chartered Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred or in the process of obtaining, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in accounting and finance.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., JD Edwards, Questica, etc.) and Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with acute attention to detail.
- Outstanding leadership and communication abilities, with a track record of successfully managing and motivating teams.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
