**Qualifications**:

- Successul completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Health Administration, Business or Science (Health Profession preferred)
- Canadian Patient Safety Officer Certificate, or willinness to acquire within one year
- Cetrified as a Regulated Health Professional, preferred
- Minimum five (5) years recent, related job experience
- Knowledge of governmental and other regulatory standards, requirements, guidelines and industry best practices related to; Patient Safety, Quality Improvement and Accreditation
- Knowledge and experience with root cause analysis, cause and effect analysis, and failure mode and effects analyst (FMEA) as applied in healthcare.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
- Sound judgement and initiative for priority setting and strong project management skills
- Demonstrated ability to establish interpersonal relationships
- Advanced knowledge of computers and software (ie. MS Office Suite)
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC’s Mission, Vision and Values
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis

**Immunization Requirements**:

- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis.
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step) and COVID vaccine series.
