**Position Status**: Permanent Full-Time

**Description of the Position**:
Building off the success of the recently completed SickKids VS Limits Campaign, SickKids Foundation is focused on planning and executing the next transformational effort in support of children’s health. As part of this work, a key new leadership position has been created. Working with the Campaign and Transformational Giving Team, the Director will play a key role in shaping and implementing our philanthropic initiatives, focusing on transformational giving to drive impactful change within the Hospital for Sick Children. The portfolio will also include the management of a donor portfolio. This position reports to the Vice President, Campaign and Head of Transformational Giving.

**You will**:

- Develop with key Foundation’s and Hospital’s leadership, the overall strategy for identifying and evaluating annual hospital philanthropic priorities ensuring alignment with the Foundation’s goals.
- Work closely with leaders, to drive and provide the required support to the fundraising teams to achieve the annual hospital philanthropic priorities.
- Collaborates with key Hospital and Foundation leaders, to identify, scope and confirm transformational gift funding opportunities and associated recognition to support required growth in transformational gifts.
- Create innovative fundraising strategies and explore novel opportunities for philanthropic initiatives.
- Develop customized engagement strategies to match donor interests with transformational opportunities.
- In collaboration with the Campaign Director and Finance team, develop and implement mechanisms to track and report on progress against transformational giving goals, all fundraising priorities and the Campaign.
- Establish systems to facilitate and enhance the implementation of transformational giving initiatives. Includes engaging cross-functional groups required to support transformational gifts ensuring complex gift agreements are executed and key deliverables met while ensuring an exceptional donor experience.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to related to transformational giving and philanthropic priorities and initiatives.
- Maintains the “wish list” of all acceptable approved alternate priorities and presents these priorities to fundraisers and donors prior to generating new projects for funding.
- Working closely with the Granting and Hospital Relations team to minimize increase of highly restricted/non priority funds.
- In collaboration with key Foundation’s and Hospital’s teams, ensures gift agreements accurately reflects the project and the agreed upon terms by all interested parties, including the Hospital, Foundation and Donor.
- Manages a portfolio of donor relationships, where the Director will manage donor identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship activities for high-net worth individuals to secure transformational gifts.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in healthcare philanthropy, bringing innovative ideas to the table to elevate our fundraising efforts and enhance donor experiences.
- In collaboration with marketing teams, develop marketing materials and tools to support fundraisers to advance priority fundraising.
- Develop fundraising priority training and education for foundation teams, in collaboration with Human Resources.
