**Working Arrangement**

Hybrid

Working with the Manager, GB Finance and Valuation Systems within CDIFS, this role is responsible for supporting our reporting and underlying infrastructure with a focus on data integrity and process automation. The Systems Analyst has the responsibility to deliver the vital reporting tools and data infrastructure required for internal and external reporting. The role requires a high degree of passion for innovation to provide practical and efficient solutions to sophisticated business processes. The Systems Analyst will be accountable for running and maintaining existing Group Benefits reporting jobs and respond to ad-hoc requests.

**Systems Management & Support**
- Solve production related issues.
- Experience with updating Power Query, Power BI and Alteryx report / process automations is an asset
- Work with business partners to craft, develop and program sophisticated reporting requirements and present the results to the end-user
- Accountable for running and maintaining existing ETL jobs, GB reports, data extracts
- Proactively look for new and outstanding opportunities to streamline and consolidate reporting
- Work with various reporting teams to establish data quality management processes
- Partner with Business & IS resources to source new data elements required for reporting and analysis
- Provide after-hours support when required in outstanding circumstances

**Application Development**
- Analyze business requirements, define project scope and design reporting solutions
- Interact/negotiate with IS for extracts that are not currently available to support reporting needs
- Prepare technical specifications, test plans, change requests forms and maintain all documentation

**Continuous Improvement**
- Play a meaningful role in achieving process improvement goals and standard methodologies in Finance
- Look for and analyze reporting problems/process inefficiencies autonomously
- Demonstrate dedication towards continuously updating knowledge and skills

**Customer Service**
- Resolve customer service issues and advance to leader when appropriate
- Identify and recommend refinements and improvements to service offerings
- Investigate system user inquiries / concerns
- Build effective relationships and establish a prominent level of credibility within CDIFS and other internal and external business partners

**Qualifications**
- University Degree or College Diploma in related field with 3+ years of experience in a Consultant/Programmer/Analyst type role
- Extensive experience in Data Transformation Tools in ETL Capacity (SAS, SQL)
- Excellent knowledge of Excel, Access, VBA, Power Query
- Experience with BI Reporting tools is an asset (Power BI, Alteryx)
- Experience with Mainframe is an asset
- Experience with Oracle Smartview, INFOR GL module & T-Recs is an asset
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good interpersonal and relationship building skills as well as negotiation and influencing skills
- Teamwork a must as will be required to support other areas of the team as the need arises
- Strong oral/written communication skills required to interact with representatives from other divisions and functional departments
- Ability to undertake sophisticated tasks/projects/analysis with no supervision
- Introductory knowledge of accounting fundamentals is an asset
