Job Responsibilities_**

Manage the **Canadian **in-country AML and ATF programme ensuring adequate coverage to the business including, though not limited to:

- Develop and maintain local AML and ATF policies and procedures, being cognizant of new AML and ATF laws, regulations and industry best practice of the jurisdiction;
- Ensure fluid communication with Regional Financial Crimes Compliance and escalation of issues, including the preparation of local management information including metrics and governance information for the Regional Financial Crimes oversight committee;
- Accountable to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer and partner with other key areas such as Client Onboarding and Operations;
- Represent JPMC on supervisory working groups and discussions; and Advisory for the Wholesale line of business on AML and ATF matters
- Participate in regional and global Financial Crimes Compliance projects and initiatives, partnering with other regional and global teams.
- Participate in New Business Initiatives and business expansion requirements.
- Work with internal groups including partnering with line of business (LOB) Compliance, Legal, Audit and Risk to ensure consistent understanding of requirements as well as establishing effective relationships with the LOBs.
- Liaison with internal auditors and examiners, when required.

**_ Qualifications_**
- Bachelors degree (or equivalent).
- 4+ years AML Compliance or related experience.
- Extensive knowledge of regulatory concepts including, but not limited to the Canadian _Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Acts and associated Regulations,_ FINTRAC’s guidance, the Bank Secrecy Act, Office of Foreign Assets Control sanctions, and the USA PATRIOT Act.
- Ability to use information effectively and have an eye to detail. Demonstrated skills in risk assessment. The ability to make sound decisions, including escalation, when appropriate.
- Well organized and able to execute responsibilities; ability to prioritize multiple tasks and bring tasks to completion within established timeframes.
- Proficient in MS Office (Outlook/Word/Excel/Access/PowerPoint).
