Flynn Industrial Ltd., a leading building envelope trade contractor in the institutional, commercial and industrial construction market place, requires an experienced Project Manager for our Edmonton Branch.

Flynn Industrial Ltd. has enjoyed steady growth and success by providing quality contracting services and design assistance to ensure long-term performance and customer satisfaction. As a contractor, Flynn Industrial Ltd. plays a key role in blending architectural visions with practical detailing to ensure quality, functional, and high-performance Roof and Wall Systems. Flynn is positioned to serve the entire Canadian Industrial construction marketplace.
- A Day in the Life
- Ensure Labour target rates are set and managed.
- Communicate with the project team on a daily basis.
- Establish and maintain relationships with internal teams, external suppliers and customers.
- Identify potential conflicts and negotiate best solutions.
- Main point of contact for assigned scope of work.
- Take the lead on project kickoffs, hand offs and autopsy meetings with the project team.
- Work with Safety, Site Supervisor and Foreman to ensure all Safety measures are in place.
- Pre-plan the execution of projects and develop schedule with project team.
- Develop, track and negotiate change orders.
- Responsible for time, cost and overall project performance.
- What We are Seeking
- Min. 3+ years’ experience within a Project Manager Role in a construction industry, particularly in the Industrial sector
- Education in a civil engineering / building science program or a related educational field
- Knowledge of Insulated Panel/Cladding systems is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in MS office package, including MS Project.
- Strong blueprint reading skills.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making abilities.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Ability to multi task and work in a team environment.
