**There is one Full-Time permanent Manager, Mental Health Services position available starting on April 01, 2024. working 37.5 hours per week.**

**Your Role**:
Manages the design, delivery, implementation and evaluation of effective programs. Provides overall leadership in designated service areas promoting best practices. Works intentionally from an anti-racist, anti-oppressive perspective to further create a sense of belonging at Lutherwood. Supports the implementation of evidence informed practices.

**Tasks**:
Management:

- As a member of Management Team and Mental Health Services Management Team, participates in the agency's planning, organizing and implementing processes.
- Establishes, monitors, and evaluates service targets, system goals and budgets.
- Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of Mental Health Services communication, problem-solving and accountability structures.
- Ensures compliance with respective legislation including Youth Criminal Justice Act, Child, Youth and Family Services Act, Licensing Regulations and Accreditation Standards.
- Develops and maintains relationships with other relevant agencies, service providers and government agencies.
- Ensures that data gathering and research takes place to monitor the effectiveness and timeliness of program efforts.
- Develops and negotiates program funding proposals.
- Monitors and adjusts the use of resources to meet client needs and service targets.
- Monitors program expenditures and budgets.
- Creates a work climate conducive to effective treatment and established upon a sound theoretical and clinical base that encourages innovation, creativity, learning and safety.
- Develops and recommends annual program plans as part of Lutherwood's service planning process.

17. Works alongside the Equity Leader to prioritizes the implementation of the agency’s Equity Strategy as it pertains to the supervision of the Mental Health team and it’s equity work.

18. Builds on employee strengths and relationships to inspire, motivate and support staff.

19. Provides operational leadership to ensure service outcomes are achieved.

Supervision:
20. Supports and is a resource for Mental Health Services’ staff to ensure effective problem solving, communication and goal setting.

21. Responsible for screening, interviewing and hiring of new team/department members in consultation with the Human Resources Department.

22. Responsible for providing initial training and orientation to all new direct reports as assigned.

23. Responsible for conducting supervision meetings with all direct reports.

24. Provides leadership and support to employees within the area(s) of responsibility.

25. Implements responsive leadership tools and strategies to support employees.

26. Responsible for completing preferred leadership profiles with all new direct reports.

27. Responsible for the administration of the Performance Coaching Model (PCM) and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and submitted signature in a timely manner.

28. Responsible for training and development of staff within the area(s) of responsibility.

29. Involved in disciplinary and termination decisions and actions in consultation with the Program Director and Human Resources Department.

Program Implementation:
30. Develops, implements, and evaluates the therapeutic environment and programs.

31. Promotes improvement of current services through research and evaluation of all program resources.

32. Identifies gaps in service and develops programs to meet service needs.

33. Liaises with Mental Health Services staff, other agency personnel, parents, youth and community agencies providing information, coordination to ensure continuity and integrity of the program.
