Healthcare Administrator Coordinator

**REPORTING RELATIONSHIP**:
Director of Infection and Prevention Control

**Job Summary**:
Under the direction and general supervision of the Director of Nursing and Personal Care, the COVID-19 Screener/Rapid Antigen Tester is responsible for monitoring the 3rd party surveillance personal with screening all visitors, and staff of our Long-Term Care Home and conducting and analyzing the results of COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Testing (swabs) for visitors and staff.

This person is also responsible for communicating and enforcing visitor policies and procedures, educating visitors on hand hygiene and proper PPE usage.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Greet and direct visitors, answers inquiries as appropriate
- Monitor the 3rd party surveillance personal performing COVID screening to ensure the questionnaire of all persons entering and exiting the Home has been accurately completed
- Monitor the 3rd party surveillance personal that they administer temperature checks of all visitors, staff, and contractors. Ensure accurate records of results in logbook
- Administers COVID-19 Rapid Antigen swab (training provided) to visitors, contractors, and staff. Interprets and accurately records testing results.
- Develop, compile and maintain record systems, statistical data records
- Maintain clinical supply inventories including Rapid Antigen Testing kits and other office supplies
- Participate in clinical meetings and other educational sessions as deemed appropriate
- Performs other clerical duties as they arise.

*Training will be provided for all duties above.

**Qualification and Requirements**:
1. Training as a Registered Health Professional

2. Knowledge of Infection Control considered an asset

3. Effective organization and time management skills

4. Self-motivated and able to work independently

5. Basic computer skills

6. Strong communication and people skills

7. Attention to detail

8. Performs other duties as assigned by the Long-Term Care Administrator and/or Director of Nursing and Personal Care

9. The above tasks are representative but not all-inclusive

**WORKING CONDITIONS**

A modern temperature controlled, smoke free environment with a combination of natural and fluorescent lighting. Some disruption to lifestyle resulting from extra hours spent dealing with and responding to emergencies and attending meetings. Required to meet deadlines.
