Deputy Project Manager (12 months)

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
- Oversee the Manufacturing activities of the Brampton site for the Ottawa LRV Project
- Support and oversee the Product Introduction (PI) activities on the Ottawa site for the Ottawa LRV Project
- Participate in Change & Configuration Board meetings, both internally and externally, and drive the readiness and implementation of Change Requests, both on the manufacturing site (Brampton) and on the customer site (Ottawa).
- Conduct Work Package Reviews with Work Package Owners and Project Finance Manager (PrFM), prepare Monthly Project Reviews with the Project Director and the PrFM
- Support the Ottawa LRV Project Director in various activities as required.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for supporting the whole Ottawa LRV Project Team.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Your main missions will include:

- Liaise with Brampton manufacturing site to review production progress vs planning and address blocking points for manufacturing, testing and customer preparation of LRV
- Liaise with Ottawa PI Manager and Team to support the deployment of modifications (customer approval, readiness - documentation, tools, parts - and roll-out plan) as well as the commissioning and final sale of new LRV
- Attend and prepare Work Package Review and support the monthly/bi-annual Financial cycle for the Ottawa LRV Project
- Prepare project reports for management, client, or others;
- Identify and communicate to Customer Director any information that can lead to new business opportunities or improved customer relationships.

MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES
- Master’s Degree in Project Manager or Engineering
- Experienced manager in either a production or maintenance environment;
- Experienced in managing Alstom processes such as PMP, Project Review;
- Experience of working as the Alstom representative to the client, and making decisions on behalf of Alstom
- Experience in working at a high level with Client management and Transit/ Government Agencies; (Desirable)
- Good facilitator;
- Technical knowledge of train / LRV systems and sub-systems is a plus,
- Proven leadership in large and multicultural team;
- Strong communication skills;
- Strong business and financial acumen
