**Good Shepherd is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Kitchen Aide/Cook
- Youth Services - Notre Dame House**

**How You Will Make an Impact**

Reporting to the Manager/Supervisor of the Kitchen Aide/Cook will make a difference in the lives of youth by your compassionate, hospitable and non-judgmental manner. You will be responsible for the preparation, provision and oversee clean-up of lunch and dinner meals for residents and non-residents at Notre Dame House. Other responsibilities include unloading (_some lifting required_) and storing properly donations and food orders, job requires cleaning in the kitchen of, including fridges, freezers, and other duties that relate to kitchen/cook work.

**What You'll Bring to Our Team**

Applicants should possess an appreciation and understanding of a range of issues including abuse, poverty, homelessness, mental illness and addictions. Applicants must possess a minimum of a Grade 12 education with some kitchen aide/cooking experience, Food Handlers Certificate, a valid C.P.R. certification (or willingness to be certified) and a demonstrated commitment to the mission values of availability, flexibility, adaptability, hospitality and dignity. A valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract is necessary.
