**SUMMARY**:
Responsible to prepare, route, and manage the company’s purchase orders including reviewing shipment materials before distributions, collaborating with transportation systems to ensure prompt shipment pick-ups, and monitoring shipment costs. Coordinates the facilitation of communication between production, sales, and the distribution stages to promote an efficient and effective supply chain. Responsible for shipping, receiving, re-stocking, inventory management, and processing product returns in accordance with Newterra’s quality standards and internal processes.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
1. Coordinate all outbound shipments including truckload, LTL, package, and expedited freight.
2. Ensure compliance with all international trade regulations and company policies.
3. Work with production to schedule and prepare standard orders and ship them in accordance with customer needs.
4. Ensure outbound shipments to customer are on time and in accordance with promised deadlines.
5. Communicate with vendors to ensure timeliness of deliveries to ensure internal supply chain is maintained as needed.
6. Maintain accurate records of shipping documents, tariffs, and duty payments.
7. Continually coordinate with carriers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments.
8. Assist procurement team and purchasing team when expedited shipping is needed.
9. Work with operations to implement ERP programs and provide training.
10. Prepares and expedites outgoing products, including labeling and shipping documentation to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
11. Coordinates, receives, inspects, and documents.
12. Verifies part numbers and quantities against packing lists and purchase orders to ensure accuracy of products being shipped and received.
13. Examines outgoing and incoming shipments for damage and reports issues to Quality Control Department.
14. Move products utilizing pallet jack and lift trucks to convey, move or hoist shipping materials to appropriate areas.
10. Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., purchasing, sales, and customer service) to ensure alignment and efficiency in the supply chain.
16. Adheres and complies with Quality Management Systems in accordance with Newterra’s internal standards.
17. Other duties as assigned.
**OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Collaborate with other departments as necessary to meet customer requirements, or in the case of shortages, minimize negative impacts on a business.
- Responsible for performing duties in a safe manner and promoting safety to others in accordance with Newterra’s safety policies and procedures. This includes reporting all safety concerns, near-misses, and incidents to their manager.
- Adhere to the company processes as detailed in Newterra’s online systems and programs and bring forward ideas for continuous improvement.
- Responsible for completing all assigned training applicable to your position in the applicable timeframe.
- Complete all responsibilities while ensuring adherence to Newterra’s Delegation of Authority.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 - 5 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse.
- In-depth knowledge of international freight regulations, tariffs, and duties is a plus
- Competent in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Solid attention to detail.

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**:
Almost continually verbally or orally communicating and responding to others. Utilization of controls, operation of machines or computers to support daily work activities. Accurate hand/eye coordination is required. Finger dexterity is required, as well as hand strength, with the ability to grasp, lift, push and pull. Work involves considerable standing, stooping, bending, or sitting for long periods of time. May lift product weighing up to 50 pounds..
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is a manufacturing environment and will be exposed to elements such as loud noise, hazardous equipment, heat, dirt, dust, fumes, and other materials. Exposure to hot or cold temperatures or inclement weather based on indoor or outdoor conditions. Company safety standards must be always followed.
