Vanguard Mechanical is full-service mechanical contractor based out of Maple Ridge, BC. We have exciting opportunities for work on a unique townhouse project in Gibsons, BC. We are looking for all levels of plumbers with experience in new multi-family wood frame construction.

**Qualifications**:

- Valid BC driver’s license
- Experience/interest in new residential installations, residential HVAC equipment service
- Motivation to follow instruction & complete tasks in a timely manner
- Gas fitting experience and B Gas ticket an asset
- Mechanical aptitude, diagnostic instincts
- Ability to work with others or independently on assigned tasks
- Professionalism, excellent time management and communication skills

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Installing, repairing and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other plumbing equipment/systems used for water distribution and waste water disposal in residential and commercial buildings
- Maintain working knowledge of tools, standard methods, materials and equipment used in plumbing including blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems
- Work in cooperation with other trades to ensure that all specifications, legislation, quality standards and policies are met
- Measure, cut, bend and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines, join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment, test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
- Mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls/floors
- Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
- Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported and graded

**Salary**: $19.00-$38.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
