Vanguard Mechanical Ltd., is a privately held, full-service mechanical contractor based out of Maple Ridge, BC, with active projects throughout the Lower Mainland and the Sun Shine Coast. We are looking to expand our team with a motivated, hard-working individual looking for secure, year-round work to develop their skills as Plumbers (All Levels of Apprentices) PLUS Journey-persons. Working in all municipalities from "Abbotsford, North Shore to the Sun Shine Coast ".

**Qualifications**:
Valid BC Driver's License
Experience/Interest in New Residential Installations
Residential HVAC Equipment Service
Motivation to follow instructions & complete tasks in a timely manner
Gas Fitting Experience and B Gas Ticket an Asset
Mechanical Aptitude & Diagnostic Instincts
Ability to work with others and or independently on assigned tasks
Professionalism, Excellent Time Management & Communication Skills
**Responsibilities**:
Installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other plumbing equipment/systems used for water distribution and waste water disposal in residential and commercial buildings.
Maintain working knowledge of tools, standard methods, materials, and equipment used in plumbing including blueprints, drawing and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and draining systems.
Work in cooperation with other trades to ensure that all specifications, legislation, quality standards and policies are met.
Measure, cut, bend and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines, join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment. Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
Mark positions for pipe connections, passage holds and fixtures in walls/floors.
Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings.
Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported and graded.
Journey-person to assist in development with other team members and apprentices skills while working as Plumbers.
Other related duties as required.
