**Position Summary**:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Specialist, Monitoring and Evaluation who will support both internal and external evaluation projects. The Specialist, M&E plays an important role in building capacity to measure the effectiveness and performance of programs and services. Reporting to and under the guidance of the Senior Specialist, Evaluation and the Director, Quality & Evaluation this position requires foundational understanding of research methodologies, evaluation ethics, and understanding around how to gather, collect, analyze, interpret data to support evaluation needs. The data will then be used to determine how well a program or project is working and make adjustments accordingly.

**Accountabilities & Deliverables**

Evaluation
- Contribute to the development of evaluation frameworks, methodologies, and data analysis plans.
- Assist in data collection through various research methods, surveys, interviews, and focus groups.
- Work closely with the Senior Specialist of Evaluation to manage surveys administration nationally, including survey updates, changes and implementation of new funder surveys
- Contribute to the development of evaluation frameworks, methodologies, and data analysis plans to measure the effectiveness and impact of NPower Canada programs and initiatives.
- Design data collection instruments, such as surveys, interviews, focus groups, and observation protocols, to gather relevant data and feedback from program participants, staff, and other stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with the Data Analytics team to integrate evaluation findings into ongoing program monitoring and performance management practices
- Ensure compliance with privacy and ethical guidelines in the collection, storage, and analysis of data and maintain the confidentiality and security of participant information.
- Regularly audit and validate findings to identify and rectify discrepancies.
- Attend internal meetings to explore evaluation tools for better data collection
- Stay informed about emerging evaluation methodologies, best practices, and trends in the field, and integrate them into evaluation strategies to enhance measurement and reporting capabilities.

Team Collaboration and Documentation
- Collaborate with the Senior Specialist of Evaluation in planning and executing internal and external evaluation projects
- Interpret evaluation findings and results, and present them to internal and external stakeholders in a clear and concise manner through reports, presentations, and visualizations.
- Engage with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate communication and coordination for evaluation activities.
- Document methodologies, analyses, and findings for reference and transparency.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of data sources and reporting processes.

**Who you are**
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Sciences, Public Health, Psychology).
- Understanding of research methodologies and data collection techniques.
- Experience in Program Evaluation, preferably in the non-profit or social services sector.
- Knowledge of research ethics, awareness of administration of evaluation & research projects related to ethics, to support ethics and ethics process in place (e.g., consent, research withdrawals)
- Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative analysis, and experience using other analytical
