**Summary**:
Reporting to the Manager, Learning & Organizational Development, the Learning and Organizational Development Specialist role (L&OD Specialist) is responsible for providing educational and organizational development services in support of key strategic priorities of the hospital. They lead and assist in the research, development, implementation, evaluation and support of: educational & learning programs, large group initiatives, team development, engagement surveys and initiatives, change management initiatives, and strategic projects of the Learning and Organizational Development department.
- Facilitates full cycle training and education: conducts needs assessment, research, design, training implementation, facilitation and evaluation for established Learning & Organizational Development priority programs
- Designs new e-learning content related to organizational priorities
- Facilitates organizational e-learning by coaching course authors (content experts) on adult learning principles and virtual learning best practices
- Liaises with external education providers and consultants
- Facilitates the delivery of in-person education and team building experiences including: communication, analysis of assessments, delivery of the session, and post-session debrief with leaders
- Promotes available educational opportunities using a variety of communication tools
- Supports ongoing development, implementation and evaluation of annual Leadership Development sessions and programs
- Administers the corporate Learning Management System in collaboration with the L&OD coordinator and responds to educational inquiries
- Consults in the design, development and evolution of the corporate Learning Management System
- Facilitates virtual corporate orientation sessions
- Plans for and coordinates the GRH workplace culture strategy including assessments, reports, and communication strategy
- Facilitates the analysis of workplace culture survey results with leaders and their teams
- Assists in the transformation of workplace culture based on GRH values to foster more experimentation, psychological safety, learning and continuous performance improvement
- Regularly reviews organizational development programs and courses for continuous improvement and alignment with organizational priorities
- Provides recommendations for program enhancement and/or adjustments
- Prepares presentations, dashboards and reports for internal stakeholders to support program implementation and sustainability
- Completes assigned projects using effective project management techniques including: creating project plans, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, facilitating project logistics, and providing resources to ensure project deliverables and timelines are on track
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure engagement and success of larger Organizational Development projects
- Actively participates in managing external relationships with vendors to support the coordination and success of deliverables
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelors Degree in adult education, organizational development, leadership or a related discipline in the behavioural sciences
- Strong applied knowledge of adult learning, organizational behaviour, and applied change management concepts, as well as demonstrated project management and program evaluation skills is required
- Familiarity with the LEADS framework is preferred
- Familiarity with personality or working styles assessments (e.g. Core Strengths, SDI, MBTI, e-DISC, etc.) is preferred
- Minimum of three years informal leadership experience utilizing learning and organizational development methodologies
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytic skills
- Excellent influencing and relationship management skills, capable of balancing and integrating multiple perspectives
- Excellent interpersonal skills (both virtual and in-person) including presentation, group facilitation, and communication skills, to provide service to diverse populations of learners
- Demonstrates humility, empathy and emotional agility
- Communicates effectively, listens actively, and works collaboratively with others to co-create solutions that are responsive and respectful of diverse stakeholder needs and perspectives
- Demonstrated ability to work independently but also enjoys the collaborative process, and eagerly partners with others at all levels of the organization to bring key initiatives to fruition
- Is an agile, resilient, adaptive problem-solver who sees challenges as opportunities
