**Your Opportunity**:
Prof. Maria Dittrich, in the Department of Physical and Environmental Sciences at the University of Toronto Scarborough, invites applicants for the position of Research Associate (Limited Term) to conduct collaborative research in biomineralization/geobiology. Primary research interests are in understanding the molecular mechanisms of dolomite formation in presence of anoxygenic phototrophs from extreme evaporitic environments.

This opportunity of a Research Associate (Limited Term) is a 1 (one)-year term, 30% FTE part-time appointment and the anticipated start date is December 1st, 2023.

Limited travelling will be required. The Research Associate will be expected to present research at academic conferences.

**Notes**:
This is a 30% FTE part-time 1-year term appointment, with the possibility of extension, depending on approval of supervisor based on performance and funding.

Starting Annual Salary Hiring Range for 30% FTE - CA $15,463 to $27,000.
