**PURPOSE OF THE POSITION**

The Strategic Sourcing Analyst (“SSA”) Co-op position is a member of the Supply Chain Strategic Sourcing team. The SSA is responsible for performing tasks related to the management of preferred categories, including supplier spend analysis, assessment of opportunities, support to enablement of agreements, maintenance and enhancement of Aecon Procurement data and data standards, and monitoring and improvement of supplier performance.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Evaluate spend by group/project (historical) to get a better understanding of what the groups buy and what types of items are used for similar/like projects.
- Support Request for Quotations (RFQ packages) - receive and organize packages in a way that allows insights to be gained and decisions to be made.
- Support Sourcing Managers in setting up Material Master records, working collaboratively with other Aecon Procurement groups/individuals and preferred suppliers, enabling “SKU” numbers into Aecon’s ERP system (SAP).
- Research and compile information to support the conceptualization of a score carding tool/methodology for monitoring supplier performance.
- Engage with other Corporate Procurement groups to support documentation (process flows and descriptions) of integrated activities and associated opportunities.

- Business Administration, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Economy/Finance, Engineering degrees
- Data collection and manipulation experience / Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details
- Interest in Supply Chain topics and concepts (total cost of ownership, innovation, sustainability, etc.)
- Interest in Project Management (prioritization, planning, process documentation/development, etc.)
- Able to perform in a rigorous and fast paced environment
