**Annual Salary: $96,146 - $120,182**

Reporting to the Director - Communications & Government Relations, the Manager of Communications is a detail-oriented planner who can deliver exemplary multichannel internal and external communications to achieve strategic objectives and project-driven initiatives for St. Joseph's Care Group (SJCG).

**Qualifications**:
**Education/Experience**:

- Degree or diploma in Communications, Media Studies, Journalism, Marketing or similar field
- Minimum of five (5) years experience with internal and external communications and project management
- Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience
- Certification or designation with recognized bodies such as the Association of Public Relations (APR), the International Association for Public Participation (P2 or P3), or similar preferred

**Skills/Abilities**:

- Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Excellent project/time management, analytical/critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong leadership skills including the ability to direct, motivate, evaluate, and recognize staff; proven ability to share skills and knowledge with others
- Consistent delivery of error-free multichannel communications
- Proven exemplary writing skills that resonate with target audiences
- Experience with issues management and business continuity
- Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media
- Experience in media relations
- Demonstrated ability to drive results through metrics and evaluation
- Competent within the meaning of the Occupational Health & Safety Act

**Assets**:

- Knowledge of Indigenous cultures, languages and traditions
- Able to communicate in French or an Indigenous language

**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**:

- This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions
- Will be required to travel to various work locations and provide own transportation
- Successfully complete Repairing the Sacred Circle and LEADS training within one year, leveraging the capabilities through action and alignment of corporate communications efforts
