**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee and be actively engaged in the entire operations function of the hotel through leading all rooms focused operational departments including Front Office, Housekeeping, Breakfast Service, Maintenance and work seamlessly with 3rd party Food and Beverage team.
- Manage day-to-day staffing requirements, plan and assign work, and establish performance and development goals for team members. Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to help manage conflict and improve team member performance.
- Work directly with the Executive Director in the planning and direction of the hotel operation, ensuring operation efficiencies and business mix are optimized, profitability of the business is maximized and risks are minimized.
- Champion the hotel’s Culture, Mission, Vision and Values.
- Creating a harmonious environment where all colleagues’ full potential is recognized.
- Build a winning team and organization of a successful rooms division including staff planning and the maintenance of productivity levels.
- Become expert operator of all systems and procedures as performed by all team members and be ready to contribute immediately with an hands-on approach in all areas of operation including but not limited to front office operation, reservations, switchboard, response to sales inquiries, site tours, porterage, housekeeping, laundry etc
- Ensuring the highest levels of guest satisfaction by consistently exceeding that guest expectations by championing the hotel quality initiatives and lead the team to exceed standards in the line with Accor and LQA requirements.
- Manage, coach, and mentor team members via positive reinforcements and constructive feedback. Conduct progressive disciplinary process as needed.
- Maintain flexible availability to manipulate days off with respect to occupancy and conference activities.
- Participate actively in the preparation of the Annual operating budget, Business Plan, Sales and Marketing Plan and achieve the objectives therein.
- Manage and update the hotel emergency plan and crisis procedures and ensures that they are kept up to date area of the emergency plan and crisis planning and procedures.
- Coordinate the planning and implementation of capital projects with respective parties.
- Coordinate the Daily Briefings and the weekly Operations meeting. Initiate weekly walk-throughs in the Front and Back of the house with a focus on cleanliness, hygiene and maintenance.
- Conduct supplies ordering for all department within assigned budget and method
- Actively involved in the recruitment process of senior leadership positions within the hotel.
- Actively identify potential safety and security risks within the premises and develop plans to mitigate these risks in order with the goal of minimizing the business’s liability
- Maintain positive relationship with all contractors including but not limited to security, 3rd party housekeeping, and laundry services and ensure their productivity and accountability.
- Acquire, if not already equipped, expert level knowledge of Opera PMS and TARS.
- Ensure and develop scheduling of departmental team members in accordance with daily business volume
- Respond and be ready to attend in person to all after hours emergencies including but not limited flood, fire, false alarm, escalated customer issues, injuries, crime, etc
- Participate in sales and revenue meetings and provide recommendation to optimize sales and business mix
- Champion loyalty program to ensure recognition and enrollment standards are being adhered to.
- Ensure city ledger, AR, and house account balances are reconciled.
- Ensure compliance in all legislated labor and worksafe standards.
- Constantly provide update and ensure team’s adherence to department policies, procedures and service standard as needed.
- Liaises closely with social media contractor with regards to content creation, campaigns.
- Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

- Minimum 5years of experience as a Front Office Manager, Rooms Division Manager or equivalent.
- Experience with Accor Hotels systems environment highly preferred, including but not limited to advanced knowledge of TARS, Opera Cloud, Accor Live Limitless programs.
- Experience in a 4-star hotel environment is preferred.
- Maintain flexible work schedule and be able to support all facets of the business as needed including after hours emergency responses.
- Able to work effectively on and off premise and maintain line of communication open.
- Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in Hospitality Management or related university equivalent.
