**About the Position**
The Technician will inspect, test, maintain, repair, manufacture and modify equipment in a safe and timely manner following department quality control standards. The Technician will also provide technical support to staff and customers and collectively build MBSE as the supplier of choice.
**What You’ll Do**
- Inspect and test current and new equipment
- Maintain and repair equipment as required. Equipment maintenance may include performing software upgrades.
- Ensure equipment is at the highest possible quality and returned to inventory in a timely manner
- Maintain records in RTPro and process maintenance updates, repairs, L&Ds, and billing as required
- Ensure all Lost and Damaged equipment are tracked and resolved, as required
- Ensure activities are conducted in a safe manner and according to legislated requirements (e.g., CSA requirements, Ontario Electrical Code, OHSA.)
- Manufacture parts as directed
- Identify parts and supply requirements and recommend purchase requirements
- Provide technical support and training to staff and customers as required
- Keep updated on new trends in related technology and specialized equipment and provide recommendations as required

**What You’ll Need**:

- Completion of Technical/College Diploma or equivalent practical experience
- Has basic working knowledge of electronic, electrical and lighting equipment; certification is desirable
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to access and resolve basic equipment problems
- Ability to solve routine issues following outlined procedures
- Ability to multi task and adapt to changes in work load
- On-set experience an asset
