Your role at Clorox:
As a member of the Canadian sales’ organization, the Customer Manager - Amazon will have a significant impact on the business and plays a pivotal role to help us achieve our ambition of being “Leaders in Value Creation”. This is achieved by being masters in the following 3 areas:
1) Impactful Story Tellers
- Utilize insights to drive and grow categories and Clorox brands
- Focus on the fundamentals
- Engage in the customers agenda to unlock aligned opportunities
2) Negotiate with a Holistic Investment Approach
- Utilize and continually develop strong business and financial acumen
- Know our worth and get value for the investment
- Negotiate with a holistic mindset (one pot of money)
3) Act with Speed & Agility
- Possess a general managers mindset => leverage organizational resources to respond quickly - empowered and accountable.
- Operate with flexibility within the framework of operating principles/standards
- Live by the rule of 80 & 100 => 80% of the data and 100% conviction to deliver
In this role, you will:
Account Management (Amazon) - Burts Bees, Home Cleaning, Renew Life / NeoCell (VMS), CloroxPro, and Amazon 3P Marketplace
Accountable for the day-to-day management of the customer relationship and specified brand portfolios, this role is accountable to deliver the customer specific targets (Net Customer Sales $’s, Trade, MSC) and strategic deliverables that ladder up to support Clorox’s overall financial, and MarketShare objectives.
Influence Amazon to build their business through profitable AAA (assortment, availability and activation) recommended actions.
Develops and owns strong and trusted relationships both internally and externally.
Work closely with the creative and marketing teams to ensure optimal and consistent digital creative, search and display strategies for online and media.
Must possess exceptional communication and problem-solving capabilities with a proactive mindset with an ability to drive collaboration with the customer and internal counterparts in the sales strategy team to ensure customer outcomes can be achieved within the target framework, AAA strategies and deliverables. This will be accomplished by delivering excellence in all key components of Account Management in alignment with Clorox values.
Facilitate and lead internal planning with functional teams to develop and execute best in class tactics, Amazon 1P and 3P Marketplace. Lead Amazon 3P business including cross functional collaboration with Business Teams to develop and execute 3P assortment and strategy.
Amazon analytics & assessments to holistically integrate multiple data points and information into a compelling framework for the customer including all consumer, financial & marketplace.
Other, key duties that fit with individual and Clorox values along with personal growth (Includes charity activities, training, commercial team meetings and other company sponsored activities)
What we look for:
- Minimum 3-5 years, preferred in CPG sales- Experience working with Amazon is a strong preference- Fundamental understanding of forecasting, trade spend management and implementation- Strong demonstrated abilities in the interpretation and extraction of Nielsen data.- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and trade spend management tools)- Strong time management skills- Solid retailer/industry knowledge
