**Your day-to-day activities will include**:

- Provide leadership in site safety by supporting and ensuring adherence to company safety processes and objectives.
- Identifies the need for, researches and writes recommendations for corporate Health and Safety program and procedures.
- Develop H&S procedures and training reflective of a “best in class” safety program.
- Develop and implement strategies that create safety engagement amongst employees and the site management team.
- Continuously promotes and improves the process of hazard identification, risk assessments and compliance with the implementation of risk mitigation measures, safe operating procedures and other controls.
- Take ownership of H&S projects and initiatives as assigned by the Director HSE and work with stakeholders to support implementation and sustainment efforts.
- Plan and conduct audits of the PHMG H&S Program including on-site verification and remote assessments.
- Manage WCB claims and oversee the return-to-work program.
- Regular travel to all sites will be required.
- Post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety (CRSP an asset).
- 5 years of Health and Safety work experience and knowledge of Federal OHS Legislation.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Very detail oriented.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to build relationships, credibility, and to be able to influence others to embrace change.We thank all applicants, but only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
