We are currently looking to recruit **Health and Safety Manager **to join our team for work in Saskatoon, SK.

**Responsibilities**:

- Overall responsibility for the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of the Company’s HSSE Management System and associated practices, policies, and plans;
- Ensure the Company and its programs are compliant and adhering to all health and safety legislation, regulations, and industry best practices;
- Develop new procedures and documentation as required;
- Monitor and measure effectiveness of the HSSE Management System and documentation as part of compliance with National COR;
- Maintain existing certifications; work towards certifications in new jurisdictions;
- Implement and maintain information flow and reporting to ensure each level of management is properly informed of all activities relative to compliance with the HSSE Management System;
- Develop and measure performance standards and KPI’s for the HSSE Management System;
- Ensure regular audits are completed;
- Regular reporting of the HSSE Management System’s KPI’s, leading, and lagging indicators;
- Provide necessary training, leadership, organization and control to meet the Company’s goal of zero incidents;
- Develop and mentor a team within the Company to ensure safety is observed and compliance is maintained at all levels;
- Overall responsibility for HSSE performance at the project level;
- Accept full authority to take any necessary action to maintain overall safe work practices including the authority to cease an unsafe operating procedure;
- Conduct and/or coordinate incident investigations as necessary to assist with liability determination and causation, including resolution of open claims;
- Provide support with estimating and proposal development in relation to HSSE elements;
- Visit project sites as required;
- Maintain prequalification platforms as they relate to the HSSE Management System;

**Requirements**:

- Minimum five (5) years of progressive experience with demonstrated knowledge in Health, Safety and Environment;
- Must have completed NCSO or an Occupational Health and Safety certificate or diploma from an accredited institution;
- Knowledge of applicable regulations and hazard recognition, record keeping and injury;
- Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Legislation;
- Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for safety excellence and taking initiative.
