Port Hardy Secondary School, Port Hardy, BC
0.14 FTE Temporary - Outdoor Education 9-12 (one block)
**Commencing**: February 6, 2023, until June 30,2023
or return of the incumbent, whichever comes first
completion of a Bachelor of Education;
certification by or eligible to become BC certified by the BC Teacher Certification Branch;
academic training, qualifications and recent successful experience teaching outdoor education;
strong classroom management skills;
the ability and energy to work with multi-age groups and meet the needs of students with a range of learning styles and abilities using a variety of teaching strategies;
the ability and desire to work closely with staff in a team-oriented approach to teaching and learning;
strong interest in innovation and inquiry;
ability to embed local Indigenous culture and ways of knowing into teaching practices.
