Commencing: ASAP until June 30, 2024

- recent and successful intermediate classroom experience;
- strong classroom management skills;
- the ability and energy to meet the needs of students with a range of learning

styles and abilities using a variety of teaching strategies;
- enthusiasm to work in a multi-graded classroom as part of a collaborative team in

a community-centered school;
- strong interpersonal, communication and collaborative skills to communicate with

students, staff and parents;
- strong formative assessment practices;
- experience with RTI (Response to Intervention) systems;
- ability to integrate technology to enhance student learning;
- strong interest in innovation and inquiry; and

The starting annual salary for a full-time School Teacher position ranges from $62,493 to $109,240, with placement in the
range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. The Remote Recruitmen
and Retention allowance is available for SD85 teachers payable at $2,947 over ten months.
