Quality Coordinator

**JOB SUMMARY**:
Coordinate and assist with Quality Assurance activities in support of the quality management system. Performs routine tasks relating to document control, and data analysis but would also perform a quality inspection as needed. The Quality Coordinator must possess strong communication skills (oral and written) with an ability to effectively interact with integrated process teams, organizational skills, the ability to be forward-thinking for planning purposes, and strong attention to detail.
**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Must have a thorough working knowledge of quality management systems and procedure controls.
- Be familiar with required procedures and specifications pertaining to quality and the quality program.
- Maintain quality assurance file server and intranet as directed
- Responsible for the accurate creation and control of certification documents.
- Review customer specifications for proper requirements and coordinate shipments with the shipping department.
- Compile a monthly report of activities for the location quality assurance manager.
- Participate in action plans for new projects defined by the supervisor.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to inspect machined parts and on new and reline stator products (visual, dimensional, workmanship).
- Verify dimensions of machined parts, reline stators, and rotors using micrometers, Vernier Caliper, Gagemaker JSS, stator measuring tool (SMT), and coordinate measuring machines (CMM)
- Perform Solid Works Analysis (CAD Software) to determine concentricity of rubber and/or rubber thickness
- Pe r f orm “ F irst Of f ” i n sp e c t i o n in-process and final inspection.
- Assist in verification, identification, and reporting of non-conforming products or parts and e n s u ring t h a t N CR D o cu me n t at ion is c orr e c t/complete and closed in the JDE system.
- Report deviations / NCRs from specifications and tolerances to Manufacturing Engineering and Product Line Engineering and acquire dispositions to proceed with the product or part.
- Complete and maintain inspection reports and other quality-related documentation (i.e. COC’s, Dimensional Data Sheets)

- Perform Incoming Rubber Testing using MDR-C Rheology Equipment (includes Equipment Set-up, Cleaning, and Torque Calibration as required)
- C h e c k t h e q u a li t y of the p r od uc t, including verification of proper stamping of parts a n d t r a c ea bili t y nu m b e rs.
- Work in a healthy and safe manner, in accordance with National Oilwell Varco policies and procedures, reporting any unsafe practices or conditions while also ensuring the health and safety of direct reports
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- A minimum of 1-2 years of related experience or training with measuring equipment, strong computer and math skills, and mechanical aptitude are considered assets.
**TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES**
- JDE, Oracle, Hubble, Bar Tender
- Microsoft Office, Solid Works (CAD Software)
- Overhead Crane and Forklift Certificates are preferred.
