The Lower Fraser Fisheries Alliance currently comprised of thirty First Nation communities from the mouth of the Fraser River to the Fraser Canyon of which twenty-three are signatories to the LFFA Society. The organization is guided by an Executive Committee who is directed by the leadership of the Lower Fraser First Nations. The LFFA is in an exciting stage of development that advocates and supports collaboration of First Nation communities, leaders and their members.

The fishery initiatives include coordination of fishery dialogue forums, capacity building, engagement with DFO and other fishery organizations, and development of fisheries management frameworks.

Biologist Department Management Activities Include:

- Provide oversight of a Biologist team, approximately 10 staff, and department on a variety of science and tech projects including Pinnipeds, Fraser Salmon, Sturgeon and Eulachon fisheries management, science and technical processes, habitat restoration and stewardship projects.
- Liaise with fisheries organizations (First Nations, Government, Stakeholders and NGO) at the regional, provincial and national scales to support the science and technical advancement of Nation and the LFFA.
- Maintain professional and technical expertise by attending educational workshops, conferences, reviewing professional publications, and maintaining professional networks.
- Prepare technical discussion papers, briefing notes, financial and project reports.
- Facilitate science and technical sessions and implement strategic plans, and;
- Develop and implement funding proposals to sustain and support biological and technical initiatives of LFFA.

**Salary**: $76,440.00-$83,720.00 per year
