**About St.Clare's**
St. Clare's Multifaith Housing Society is seeking dedicated and proactive individuals to join our team as After Hours Staff. As a social justice landlord, we are committed to supporting individuals who have experienced homelessness by providing access to healthy, secure, safe, affordable, and diverse housing communities. The After Hours Staff play a crucial role in representing building management, providing minor maintenance services, and ensuring emergency services access during non-regular hours.
**Position**: After Hours Staff
**Employment Type**: Full Time - Permanent
**Salary**:$24.95 per hour
**Responsibilities**:
- **Maintenance Assistance**:
- Clean and clear spills, slush, and snow from common areas, especially the entranceway.
- Empty common area garbage cans as required and pick up stray trash.
- Carry a cell phone to receive after-hours calls from tenants regarding maintenance concerns.
- Investigate and evaluate maintenance concerns, coordinating with On-Call Maintenance staff as necessary.
- Follow instructions from On-Call Maintenance staff, including calling service contractors and granting access as needed.
- Complete the provided maintenance/building checklist nightly and submit it at the end of each shift.
- Ensure doors, windows, and gates are periodically checked and locked.
- **Represent Property Management**:
- Make notes of changes in tenant behavior for review by tenant support staff.
- Monitor the entry and departure of tenants and their visitors.
- Write reports on unusual occurrences.
- Circulate among tenants and visitors in common areas to develop familiarity.
- Inform individuals of rules when necessary; no enforcement is required.
**Qualifications**:
- Experience in customer service, property management, maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on cleanliness and safety.
- Availability to work evening, overnight, and weekend shifts as required.
