Job Summary

The AVI-SPL Field Service Technician will work in partnership with the Global Helpdesk to provide Service support for customers at on-site locations with the end goals of restoring functionality to our customers’ assets while delivering a world-class Customer Service experience.

Essential

**Responsibilities**:

- Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints
- Perform preventative maintenance visits to help maintain a stable client-based system
- Clean various AV equipment including but not limited to: camera lenses monitors and equipment fans
- Take responsibility to accurately complete job documentation as needed
- Field installation of control programs (AMX / Crestron/Firmware) - upload and download capability
- Field service support of networked devices (Routers IP Protocols etc.)
- Perform service tasks in a timely and quality conscious manner including but not limited to: pulling cable installing connectors mounting projectors and hanging ceiling mounts
- Provide necessary training and support for next level service technicians
- Provide end-user client training as needed
- Adhere to and understand health and safety standards for all phases of the job
- Setup and troubleshoot various video codecs/video teleconferencing systems
- Travel to various job sites required

- Effectively communicate with employees customers and colleagues
- Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner
- Ability to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlines
- Basic computer knowledge
- Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio video and control
- Ability to manage small to medium projects
- Ability to solder & crimp connectors
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean Driver's Abstract that meets AVI-SPL driving standards

Education and/or Experience
- Minimum of 1 - 3 years of audiovisual integration experience preferred
- Formal education in Electronics or related field preferred
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Preferred external training:

- Avixa (InfoComm) Quick Start to the Audio-Visual Industry
- Avixa (InfoComm) CTS General Certification
- AMX Intro to Networking for AV Professionals
- Crestron Professional Installation
- Extron AV Associate Certification

Le technicien de service sur le terrain d'AVI-SPL travaillera en partenariat avec le service d'assistance mondial pour fournir un support de service aux clients sur les sites, avec pour objectif final de restaurer la fonctionnalité des actifs de nos clients tout en fournissant une expérience de service à la clientèle de classe mondiale.

Fonctions et responsabilités essentielles
- Lire et interpréter les schémas électroniques et les plans architecturaux.
- Effectuer des visites d'entretien préventif pour aider à maintenir un système stable basé sur les clients.
- Nettoyer divers équipements audiovisuels, y compris, mais sans s'y limiter, les lentilles des caméras, les moniteurs et les ventilateurs de l'équipement.
- Prendre la responsabilité de compléter avec précision la documentation du travail, le cas échéant.
- Installation sur le terrain de programmes de contrôle (AMX / Crestron/Firmware) - capacité de chargement et de téléchargement
- Assistance sur le terrain pour les dispositifs en réseau (routeurs, protocoles IP, etc.)
- Effectuer des tâches de service dans les délais impartis et dans le respect de la qualité, notamment : tirer des câbles, installer des connecteurs, monter des projecteurs et suspendre des supports de plafond.
- Fournir la formation et le soutien nécessaires aux techniciens de service de niveau supérieur.
- Assurer la formation des clients utilisateurs finaux, le cas échéant.
- Respecter et comprendre les normes de santé et de sécurité pour toutes les phases du travail.
- Installer et dépanner divers codecs vidéo et systèmes de téléconférence vidéo.
- Se déplacer sur les différents sites de travail.
