We are currently recruiting for a full-time Junior Estimator based out of either our Edmonton, Coquitlam or Sarnia office.

**JUNIOR ESTIMATOR**

Under the guidance of the Estimator, the Junior Estimator will be responsible for the following:
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Prepare material take-offs.
- Discuss project scope with technical reps and Project Managers.
- Provide estimates of labor, material costs, equipment costs and task durations.
- Prepare and revise proposals as required.
- Manage multiple bids at any given time.
- Contact suppliers and sub trades for proposals.
- Must be able to read blueprints.
- Liaison with Construction as it pertains to productivities and crew sizes.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Diploma in a relevant engineering technology field or adequate skill and knowledge from work experience; Construction background is preferred
- 0-1 years experience with experience in geometry related calculations and understanding blueprints.
- Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Excel, with sufficient working experience in the software.
- In depth working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software, such as Word.
- 2D and 3D modeling skills are an asset (Autodesk/SolidWorks).
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to understand technical documents and standards.
- High competency working with mathematical concepts, including 2D and 3D geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to understand engineering drawings and blueprints to extract the required data to create accurate estimates.
- Demonstrated teamwork and interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and ability to work collegially with sales personnel, project managers and others to provide customer-focused estimates and refractory solutions.
