**About the role**

You will be reporting to Project Director, Health Economics, Global Technical Services. Technical Advisor will be responsible to support in conducting analysis and providing technical assistance related to nutrition financing. You will be meeting & building relationships at global, national and sub-national levels. Work will be nutrition costing and financing / expenditure tracking with governments and other multi-lateral NI partners for technical assistance projects. In addition, you will be supporting the Health Economics Unit with other economic research and technical assistance projects.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- You will be responsible for giving technical financial assistance to key stakeholders on NI’s projects on nutrition financing.
- Develop and provide technical finance assistance to TOR, project plans, budgets and agreements with multiple stakeholders.
- Provide assistance in nutrition expenditure tracking, monitoring, reviewing and data collection
- Conduct costing analysis to estimate the financing need for nutrition programs and plans
- Develop financial policies, support stakeholders to mobilize domestic financing, and capacity development in Public Financial Management in health/nutrition
- Develop financial policies and schemes to ensure sustainable program coverage
- Manage and coordinate in projects to provide strategic analytical, research or technical assistance projects or proposals with all stakeholders
- Assist in building and maintaining relationships with key partners at the global and country level.
- Write research reports and presentations, or coordinating with the External Relations Unit.

Other duties and responsibilities as may be required.

**About you**

You are someone based in Ottawa with at least 5 years of experience in health or nutrition financing analysis, development, and project management. You have a Master’s degree in Public Financial Management, Health Economics, Health Policy, or related fields. A background in public financial management, as well as health, nutrition, or development policy are considered assets.

You have great analytical and planning skills. You are team player with great organizational, interpersonal skills and work effectively cross culturally and handle multiple projects. You are proficient with MS Office suite and data analysis software such as Stata or similar. Fluency in English is required. Your French language skills will be considered an asset.
