**Rotating Summer DVM Student Program**:
**Ottawa, Stittsville, Nepean - Ontario**:
Our **Rotating **Summer DVM Student** program **will provide you with an enriching rotating experience at our designated veterinary hospitals, offering a diverse range of veterinary medicine, services, and care; providing invaluable insights into your career path after graduation. As a valued member of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop practical and professional skills by working under the guidance of licensed veterinarians and registered technicians/technologists.

**Rotating Schedules are flexible from May to August, depending on student availability. Hospital Locations include**:Blair Animal Hospital, Bells Corners Animal Hospital, Carp Road Animal Hospital, Stittsville Small Animal Clinic**

You will be introduced to the inner workings of our hospitals while also gaining exposure and education in the following areas:

- Patient intake and triage
- Patient handling and restraint
- Client care and relationship management
- Treatment and hands-on compassionate care
- Observe or assist in surgical, non-surgical procedures, and anesthesia
- Assist with laboratory and imaging diagnostics
- Train in the use of in-house practice management software
- General hospital maintenance
- *The amount of responsibility, duties, supervision, and delegation will depend on your veterinary school year and provincial veterinary legislation guidelines*_

**Requirements**:

- Applicants must be enrolled in an AVMA-accredited DVM program
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Must be able to repeatedly lift at least 40 lbs
- Exceptional client service skills that build trust and loyalty
