Accounts Receivable/payable Clerk

CEC Services/MultiTech Trades Corp, a leader in Mechanical & Electrical construction in the GTA is growing We are looking for an accounts receivable/payable clerk to join our accounting team. We focus on a full-service promise to our customers from project conception to completion.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with the Finance Team including Controller and Sr Accountant to maintain collection goals and general A/R performance levels.
- Prepare and review A/R aged receivables listing on weekly basis follow up promptly on delinquent invoices and accounts.
- Daily post A/R cash receipt entries.
- Prepare Progress Billings and Holdback Billings for on-going construction jobs.
- Receive and process receipts for third party payments, whether by cash, check, credit, and other forms of payment.
- Reconcile project invoices and billings to client statements on a monthly basis.
- Prepare weekly cash collection forecasts to present to Finance Team and Senior Management.
- Process customer payments through online credit card portal.
- Process subcontract invoices.
- Gather documentation and process payment for subcontract invoices.
- Ensure supplier invoices are properly coded, backup documentation attached and verified, and entered into system through correct purchase order.
- Problem solve when invoice overbills PO.
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
- Reconcile vendor statements monthly.
- Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries.
- Other relevant duties as required.

**Qualifications**
- 4-5 years of prior construction accounts receivable/payable experience
- Accounting Diploma or equivalent
- Accountability and Dependability
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Strong team work ethic and ability to work independently and produce desired result
- Advanced knowledge of and proven experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Knowledge of relevant accounting software, Jonas experience an asset
