**Payroll Assistant**

SSC Security Services Corp. is a TSX Venture Exchange-listed holding company which provides physical, cyber, and electronic security services across Canada. SSC currently has approximately three thousand employees and is based out of Regina, Saskatchewan.

We have a permanent full-time opportunity in our Regina head office for a well-organized individual to assist with specific aspects of the payroll function.

**Job responsibilities**:

- Enter and update new employees into the timekeeping system Payworks and ADP.
- Perform payroll functions such as timekeeping and vacation days and submit to payroll.
- Assist with the payroll process, timecards input and personal time off (PTO).
- Prepare and input both weekly and biweekly payroll information using ADP software, ensuring information receive and transmit is accurate.
- Process employee terminations including final pay calculations, PTO payment, deductions, and ensure payment meets state final pay requirements.
- Maintain accurate records in Payworks & ADP.
- Process termination packages using Payworks & ADP.
- Prepare miscellaneous financial and operational reports in ADP upon request.
- Simplify reports for time efficiency and better accuracy of reconciliations.
- Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance.
- Respond to employees’ payroll inquiries.
- Accurate and timely data entry using third party portals to ensure compliance with provincial regulations.
- Work closely with the Finance and HR departments and assist as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- 2+ years of recent experience in a high-volume payroll environment
- Knowledge of employment standards and labour laws in Canada
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office, focusing specifically on Excel and Word
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
