**Role Overview**
Golf Town is seeking a high-performing District Manager in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) who can oversee and drive success across a district of 7-10 stores.
We require leaders who are not only passionate about the game but also experienced in multi-unit retail management. This role is pivotal in building strong store leadership teams, ensuring operational excellence, and enhancing customer experience across the district.
**Key Responsibilities**
- ** Lead Multi-Unit Operations**:Oversee the performance of multiple Golf Town stores within the district, maintaining consistency in operations, customer service, and execution of the “Green Jacket Experience.” Collaborate with Store General Managers to meet and exceed sales targets.
- ** Drive Performance Metrics**:Analyze and impact KPIs at both the store and district level, including Sales Per Hour, conversion rates, average transaction value, and items per transaction. Provide strategic direction to SGMs based on reporting insights.
- ** Develop High-Performing Teams**:Act as a mentor and coach to SGMs, focusing on team development, retention, and engagement. Create an environment where employees are motivated to excel and are committed to delivering outstanding customer service.
- ** Strategic Planning & Execution**:Implement strategies that align with corporate goals while adapting to the unique needs of each store. Use data to identify growth opportunities, implement best practices, and address operational challenges.
- ** Operational Consistency**:Ensure standardization of processes and systems across all stores, while allowing flexibility to adapt to local market demands. Establish and maintain high standards in merchandising, inventory management, and customer service.
- ** Customer-Centric Leadership**:Promote a customer-first mindset among store teams. Be present in stores regularly, engaging with customers and employees to understand and address any operational issues.
**Qualifications**
- ** Multi-Unit Experience**:Must have experience managing multiple retail locations, ideally with large-format stores. Proven ability to drive consistent performance and operational standards across a region is essential.
- ** Strong Leadership & Communication**:Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams. Must be able to build trust, encourage collaboration, and foster a positive work environment across all stores.
- ** Business Acumen**:Deep understanding of retail performance metrics, P&L management, and how to implement data-driven strategies. Experience in driving results through a focus on key KPIs like sales, conversion, and transaction values.
- ** Operational Expertise**:Demonstrated ability to manage large-format stores (20,000 sq ft or more), with a focus on utilizing systems and team resources effectively.
- ** Adaptable & Strategic Mindset**:Ability to adapt strategies to fit different store environments and local market demands while ensuring overall consistency in execution.
