**Position Title**: Hockey & Learn to Skate Coach
**Position Term**: Part-time on-going
**Salary Range**: Hourly ($25-$35)
**Reports To**:Sports Club Manager

**Responsibilities**:

- Communicate with and report to the Sports Club Manager and Technical Director.
- Create seasonal plans for development of players
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, registration software
- Ability to teach how to skate, and how to play ice hockey
- Manage rostering teams for various divisions and schedules
- Ability to design, lead and implement training sessions based on the age group curriculum
- Create sessions plans.
- Communicate with age group players/parents throughout the year.
- Provide a written evaluation to each participant.
- Support all programs and initiatives
- Act as member of the club’s technical staff.
- Attend all club educational events and program meetings
- Attend all meetings with the Technical Director
- Understanding of the LTPD and how it affects player development planning
- Strong interpersonal, communications (written and verbal) and presentation skills
- Ability to relate to young players and parents
- Ability to work evenings
- Continue to develop and expand the existing skills curriculum
- Execute training curriculum delivery
- Oversee and participate in the program
- Support all programs and initiatives
- Manage staff supporting the programs

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Night shift

- Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- teaching skating & hockey: 3 years (required)
- coaching youth sports: 2 years (required)
- playing experience at a college or university level: 3 years (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (required)

Licence/Certification:

- NCCP certification (required)

Shift availability:

- Night Shift (required)

Work Location: In person
