Position:
A Field Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and commissioning the systems mentioned. This role requires extensive travel and the ability to solve problems quickly in various settings. This position allows the technician to closely work with customers, providing them with remote or in-field assistance. This person will be required to supervise system installations, provide customer training and troubleshoot.

Primary Duties:

- Commissioning & Start Up of newly installed systems, consisting of electrical/ mechanical setup, checkout, control loop tuning, and operator training.
- Routine maintenance of customer systems including calibration checks, tuning and troubleshooting of operational problems, equipment repair and replacement.
- Provide customers with system operations, maintenance, modification, and upgrade recommendations.
- Provide post commissioning feedback.
- Work in and around automotive, aerospace, and other industrial manufacturing plants near heavy machinery and high temperature furnaces.

Job Requirements:

- Experience in manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Must be able to work occasionally in a hot environment.
- This position requires travel to customer sites. Typical travel is approximately 25% with peaks and lulls. Travel duration for a typical field-call is 1-2 days on site at a time. Travel for project start up is 3-5 days for smaller projects and can extend longer, but typically would not extend beyond 1 week.
- Applicant must have a Canadian passport and be willing to travel domestically and internationally for commissioning and supporting customers and projects.
- Ability to read engineering drawings including Mechanical Assemblies, P&IDs, Control Wiring Diagrams, and Field Wiring Diagrams
- Ability to independently use electronic measuring equipment such as multimeters, digital manometers, and gas analyzers; and interpret the data being produced by these devices.
- General knowledge of safety requirements in an industrial environment
- Ability to write detailed and comprehensive reports after site visits
- Meets committed deadlines, and renegotiates before missed
- Communicates efficiently and effectively - both internally and with customers
- Readily shares knowledge and experience.

Poste:
Un technicien est responsable de la maintenance, du dépannage et de la mise en service des systèmes mentionnés. Ce rôle exige de nombreux déplacements et la capacité de résoudre rapidement des problèmes dans divers environnements. Ce poste permet au technicien de collaborer de très près avec nos clients, en leur fournissant une assistance technique à distance ou sur le terrain. Cette personne devra superviser les installations de systèmes, assurer la formation des clients et le dépannage.

Tâches principales:

- Mise en service et démarrage de nouveau systèmes, comprenant l'installation électrique et mécanique, la vérification, le réglage de la boucle de contrôle et la formation des opérateurs.
- Entretien de routine des systèmes des clients, y compris les contrôles d'étalonnage, le réglage et le dépannage des problèmes opérationnels, la réparation et le remplacement des équipements.
- Fournir aux clients des recommandations sur le bon fonctionnement, l'entretien, la modification et le mise à jour des systèmes.
- Créer un rapport suivant la mise en service.
- Travailler dans et autour des usines de fabrication automobile, aérospatiale et autres usines industrielles, à proximité de machines lourdes et de fours à haute température.

- Doit être capable de travailler occasionnellement dans un environnement chaud
- Ce poste nécessite des déplacements. Les déplacements sont généralement de l'ordre de 25% avec des périodes de pointe et des périodes creuses. Le déplacement d’un appel typique est de 1 à 2 jours. La durée du voyage pour le démarrage d'un projet est de 3 à 5 jours pour les petits projets et peuvent se prolonger, mais ne dépassent généralement pas une semaine
