Materials/equipment Coordinator Hemodialysis Unit

The Materials/Equipment Coordinator for the Hemodialysis Satellite location will be responsible for the maintenance and tracking of general supplies and specialty equipment for the program and ensuring it's safe functioning. Through ongoing assessment and follow-up, this position is responsible for the day to day specialty supplies and products needs of the Hemodialysis program.
**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Develops and maintains database of all existing patient care and monitoring equipment
- Thoroughly researches potential equipment options for the program and works closely with the CLMs to help coordinate the purchase of new or replacement equipment
- Compiles a database of all outside (non-stock) orders, ordering information and contact information
- Receives deliveries of supplies/equipment from receiving dock or unit entrance
- Tracks and follows up on previously placed orders, back orders and products pending arrival
- Maintains clear and organized invoice records for assessment related to budget/funding purposes
- Evaluates equipment functionality and safety, and works collaboratively with TPL, biomedical engineering and vendor administration to ensure timely and appropriate service for equipment
- Ensures adequate inventory for supplies and non-stock items
- Replenishes stock/linen in the areas
- Develops mechanism to report equipment issues and needs
- Maintains an orderly environment of storage areas
- Disposes of any waste from unpacking supplies appropriately
- Ability to move 200 litre hemodialysis drums within the satellite location
- Other duties as assigned
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Knowledge of specialty equipment, supplies and materials specific to the Hemodialysis Program.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a hemodialysis setting.
- Ability to use the Lawson e-requisitioning.
- Must be able to work effectively with mínimal supervision.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to prioritize workload efficiently and effectively to meet the program needs.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
- Excellent problem recognition and creative problem solving skills.
- Must have an excellent attendance record and punctuality.
- Demonstrated commitment to the mission and values of St. Michael's Hospital.
