**NETWORK INFRASTRUCTURE AND CYBERSECURITY ADMINISTRATOR**

Infrastructure and Cybersecurity Administrator.

**Summary**

Reporting to the Manager of Information Technology, the Network and Cybersecurity Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the security of Algoma District School Board’s network and cyber systems and ensuring that our students and staff have access to secure and reliable technology.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Supervise, mentor and provide direction to I.T. staff as it relates to network, server infrastructure and cybersecurity matters
- Oversee and manage the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Algoma District School Board’s network infrastructure and cybersecurity systems
- Develop and implement cybersecurity policies and procedures to ensure the protection of technology assets and sensitive data
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with security standards, identify vulnerabilities and recommend solutions
- Respond to security assessments and conduct investigations as necessary
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement network infrastructure, server infrastructure, and security solutions and technologies
- Stay current with emerging network infrastructure and security trends and technologies and make recommendations for upgrades and improvements
- Provide training and support to staff on network infrastructure and cybersecurity best practices

**Qualifications**
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure and security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and security information and event management (SIEM) systems
- Experience with cybersecurity planning, assessments and audits
- Familiarity with industry standards, regulations and best practices for security planning in large scale organizations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A relevant certification such as CompTIA Security+ Certified IT Technician, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or International Information System Security Certification Consortium, or (ISC)²
- Experience in an IT environment within the Ontario education sector will be considered an asset.

This permanent position works 35 hours per week between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or as otherwise determined by the Board to meet operation needs.
