**About the Organization**
- Dalhousie Transportation Collaboratory (DalTRAC) is a multi-disciplinary research facility dedicated to the advancement of transportation engineering/planning research and practice at Dalhousie University. The unit aims to contribute to transportation studies, planning, and analysis at local, regional, and national levels.

**Job Summary**
- Reporting to the Principal Investigator, the Project Coordinator - Operations will be involved in collaborating with team members and stakeholders in the participation, organization, and promotion of highly knowledge-intensive transportation planning research activities to help achieve project goals.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Coordinate and implement DalTRAC’s projects, including the Climate Action and Awareness Fund (CAAF) project.
- Assist in the creation of research documents including abstracts, manuscripts, reports, and presentations.
- Provide administrative support to ensure smooth operation of the lab.
- In consultation with the Principal Investigator, prepare budgets and spending plans in accordance with Dalhousie policies.
- Maintain financial reports, budgets, and deliverables for DalTRAC projects.

**Note**
- Due to operational requirements, the successful applicant is required to work in-person on campus.

**Required Qualifications**
- Undergraduate degree in urban planning, public administration, environmental science, management, or related field with a minimum of 1 year of related experience, preferably in project coordination.
- Experience in transportation, urban planning, or related research.
- Strong interpersonal skills with effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships and partnerships.
- Strong ability to work independently to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office products.
- Strong behavioral competencies including teamwork and cooperation, innovation, leadership, communication, impact and influence, and valuing diversity.

**Assets**
- Master’s degree in urban planning, public administration, environmental science, management, or related field.
- Experience in Financial management.
- Experience working in an academic environment.
