The Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) is looking for an organized and detail-oriented Conservation Project Coordinator to join a team committed to protecting our most important natural areas and the plants and animals they sustain.

**Position Summary**

The Conservation Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Director of Conservation in overseeing and supporting the Conservation Department. This position is critical for tracking multiple internal and external processes associated with acquiring ecologically significant private land across Atlantic Canada. The incumbent will also be responsible for tracking and reporting on multiple funding programs, to ensure conservation program deliverables are met and funding expenditures are well coordinated. The Conservation Project Coordinator will work closely and cooperatively with other regional team members in the delivery of Atlantic’s conservation department objectives.

Project Coordination**
- Act as liaison for all information required by the National Land Information Coordinator and Finance staff, including securement validation reports, schedules of project funds, creating project financial codes, and follow-up documentation for securement projects Coordinate and review internal processing forms related to private land acquisition - such as Conservation Project Summaries, budgets, property closing forms, GST and HST reports, land donation forms, and other required supporting documentation
- Ensure regional land acquisition projects and processes comply with corporate policies

**2. Funding coordination**
- Track and report on multiple funding sources in the region and help with the writing of interim and final reports
- Assist Director of Conservation in tracking and coordinating project deliverables under major funding programs Coordinate monthly reporting for time and billing, including tracking and forecasting funding

**3. Data and Document Management**
- Manage the Region’s Land Information System (LIS) securement records to maintain quality assurance standards. Work with securement staff to ensure all required data is populated and properly stored. Provide LIS technical support and training to conservation staff
- Lead the creation and implementation of best practices or system protocols within the region for document management
- Manage and maintain quality assurance standards for regional document management in customisable content management system (MS SharepointOnline)
- Provide project reporting to the regional board

**Position Requirements**
- Exemplary organization, planning, communication (written and oral), and project coordination skills
- MS SharepointOnline and document management experience a strong asset
- Project budget tracking experience and/or education is an asset
- GIS skills and experience an asset
- Highly analytical; exceptional writing and proofing skills; attention to detail
- Ability to critically review conservation project summaries
- Excellent interpersonal skills including experience and proven results in working tactfully and persuasively with colleagues
- Self-motivated; ability to maintain a dynamic work plan and meet fixed deadlines
- Flexibility in approach - the ability to work independently and as part of a team; demonstrated drive and ability to listen and learn from colleagues and partners
- A strong commitment to the cause and mission of the Nature Conservancy of Canada
