**Summary of Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Vice President of Research and with collaborative oversight from the Scientific Director, the Research & Evaluation Liaison for Cluster #X plays a pivotal role in advising and supporting the Executive Director and Medical Division Chief in developing and implementing integrated research and evaluation initiatives.

The Research & Evaluation Liaison serves as a crucial bridge between clinical practice and research initiatives within our mental health organization and research institute. This role involves collaborating closely with executive leadership to design, implement, and evaluate integrated research programs that prioritize client-centered care and enhance the quality of mental health services for diverse populations.

In partnership with the dyad, the Liaison will establish clear research and evaluation objectives, alongside key performance indicators, to ensure alignment with regional programs, services, and stakeholder needs. This role is central to providing academic and scientific leadership within the cluster, driving growth, enhancing quality, fostering inter-professional collaboration, and setting high standards for research, program evaluation, and measurement-based care.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- ** Strategic Research Development**: Develop and advance an innovative research agenda aligned with The Royal’s Strategic Research Plan, contributing to the organization's mission.
- ** Training Future Leaders**: Mentor and train the next generation of clinical scientists, fostering a culture of research excellence.
- ** Clinical Integration**: Alternatively, the Liaison may also serve as a clinician, ensuring the integration of research with clinical practice.
- ** Change Management Leadership**: Lead change management initiatives to improve research processes and clinical outcomes, ensuring effective implementation and sustainability of new practices within multidisciplinary teams. Data platforms such as the Cardio-Neuro-Mind Data Platform which is locally administered by partner staff

**Accountability 1: Strategy**
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and Medical Division Chief to define and align research and evaluation objectives with organizational goals and regional needs.
- In partnership with the ED and MDC, provides guidance in the development of long and short-term strategic plans for the cluster that foster an environment of quality patient/client care, research and evaluation, and training.
- Advises on the development of cluster goals and objectives that are in line with corporate goals as outlined in The Royal’s Strategy and The Royal’s strategic research plan.
- Identifies emerging trends and areas of need in mental health to guide research focus and funding opportunities.
- Facilitates and monitors evaluation of research programs for the cluster
- Ensures integration of clinical research within clinical practice
- Fosters interdisciplinary research and integration of research into care.
- Encourages client and family involvement in research.
- Works collaboratively with the research portfolio to identify, develop and implement research projects.
- Fosters the implementation of the strategic plan and corresponding metrics.

**Accountability 2: Change Management**
- Participates in change management initiatives through knowledge and research integration for the cluster that support organizational goals and ensure smooth transitions.
- Leads teams in assessing change impacts, identifying challenges, and facilitating clear communication
- Evaluates the success of change initiatives, using feedback and data to improve strategies and engage stakeholders.

**Accountability 3: Training Mentorship & Collaboration**
- Supports knowledge mobilization within and beyond The Royal.
- In partnership with VP Research and Scientific Director, develop and implement academic partnerships and initiatives
- Participates as appropriate in corporate teams, working groups or committees.
