**What can I expect to do in this role?**: In this role, you will:

- monitor program operations and identify policy and procedural issues
- conduct research and collect and interpret data related to a variety of assistive devices and supply categories
- develop options and recommendations for proposed policy and program changes
- collect and analyze data on utilization, cost projections, supply and distribution of vendors and authorizers
- prepare a variety of reports, submissions, briefing notes and ministerial correspondence

**How do I qualify?**:
**Mandatory**:

- You must possess oral and written French language skills at the advanced level. Your proficiency level will be confirmed before hire.

**Specialized Knowledge**:

- You understand legislation governing ADP, healthcare and rehabilitation programs in Ontario.
- You know human anatomy, physiology and treatment regimens to liaise with medical professionals.
- You understand the Assistive Devices Program devices and medical supply categories and the use and effectiveness of devices to assess program needs.
- You know human anatomy, physiology and treatment regimens to liaise with medical professionals.
- You understand the market which health care devices are manufactured and distributed to respond to issues and concerns.
- You can develop recommendations for policy and program changes.

**Analytical and Research Skills**:

- You have demonstrated research and analytical skills to assess and respond to program issues and deficiencies and make recommendations.

**Communication and Consultation Skills**:

- You possess effective oral and written communication skills to prepare and present briefing notes and reports.
- You can represent the ministry at information sessions and workshops using presentation skills.
- You can engage in consultations with stakeholders.

**Computer Skills**:

- You know how to use MS Office software, databases and spreadsheets to prepare reports.
