The Human Resources Services team consists of functional units such as HR Operations (Payroll and Data Management, HR Client Advisory Services, HR Systems Strategy, Reporting and Analytics), Talent, Equity & Development; Health, Safety Well-being & Labour Relations; Compensation, Benefits & Retrement Programs and our Strategic Implementation team who enable the delivery of comprehensive Human Resources programs and services in collaboration with leaders, HR area offices and HR practitioners across our community.

**About the Position**

**Core Areas of Accountability**
- **Leading Talent Acquisition and Recruitment Strategy and Program Management**
- Leads the research, development and successful execution of a world class staff Talent Acquisition & Onboarding strategic framework aligned with the evolving needs of the university and identified university and HR strategic priorities
- Educates our on-campus partners (HRSPs, people managers etc.) on the talent framework and associated polices, programs, processes and practices
- Participates in the development of integrated retention, mobility and development strategies
- **Advances the McMaster employment brand and informs our Employee Value Proposition**
- Facilitates the development of sustainable talent acquisition plans and strategies with key partners, including tools, templates and engagement of external vendors and agencies as required
- Aligns consultation and recommendations of talent programming including hiring, promotions, secondments, temporary assignments and transfers are in compliance with applicable collective agreements, university policies and legislation.
- Participates in the design and implementation of employment equity initiatives to ensure the effective management of programs and services that are aligned with the organization’s mandate and overall objectives, and responsive to the current and emerging equitable recruitment needs
- Proactively seeks out and strengthens critical partnerships and rosters which enable effective and inclusive sourcing strategies including key McMaster partners, professional associations, search firms, temporary employment agencies, community agencies, government organizations, school programs and unique funding sources
- Promotes the recruitment brand and develops diverse networks of potential applicants through participation in external events, conferences, social media platform utilization and coordination of and participating in relevant localized and institutional career and recruitment fairs.
- Develops an Employee Value Proposition (EVP) definition and communication campaign, in collaboration with a cross functional team in Human Resources and the broader leadership team.
- Develops resources and communication campaigns that positively impact the reach and reputation of McMaster within the labour market, clearly outlining a compelling employment story and career experience
- **Client Focused Advice and Support**
- Provides expert consultation and client support to organizational leaders and HR partners on talent management practice, with an emphasis on talent acquisition, talent sourcing, advertising, social media recruitment and onboarding
- Acts as an Employment Equity Facilitator and organizational level trainer on related practices and techniques
- **Talent Management Consultation from the lens of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion**
- Participates in the design and implementation of employment equity initiatives to ensure the effective management of programs and services that are aligned with the organization’s mandate and overall objectives
