Position: Psychologist I
Site: Toronto General Hospital
Department: Surgical Services - Department of Anesthesia and Pain Management
Hours: 17.5 hours per week (3 days)
Hourly Rate: $53.78 - $67.23 per hour
Status: Temporary Part-Time (approx. 1 year with possibility of extension)

As an integral member of the Department of Anesthesia and Pain Management, Transitional Pain Service (TPS), the responsibilities of the **Psychologist I** include: developing and implementing novel individual and group treatment protocols tailored to the needs of TPS patients; conducting independent psychological screens and assessments of patients referred to the TPS; providing a diagnosis when relevant; providing, as appropriate, recommendations for treatment; developing and communicating a treatment plan to the patient, and TPS team; providing as appropriate brief individual and/or group treatments for TPS patients pre
- and/or post-hospital discharge; participating actively in program planning, development and evaluation; participating in relevant Continuous Quality Improvement activities; performing other duties consistent with the job classification, as required.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of a PhD degree in Clinical Psychology from an APA and/or CPA-accredited university psychology
program required
- Completion of training leading to a specialization in Health Psychology required
- Completion of an APA and/or CPA accredited internship in Clinical Psychology required
- Registration by the College of Psychologists of Ontario required
- Proof of malpractice insurance required
- Two (2) years or more experience in clinical psychology required
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary team required
- Experience developing novel individual and group treatment protocols tailored to specific patient populations an asset
- Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code
