Position Summary

Reporting to the Facility Manager, the Restoration/Steam Cleaner is responsible for handling the issues caused by water damage within a residential multi-family setting.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**

Perform steam cleaning, carpet/floor drying and cleaning duties

Inspect and identify affected areas ,condition of carpets, floors and notify management of any visible repairs needed

Determine the right chemical solution for cleaning. Appropriately use soap, water, and chemicals as needed

Responsible for the operation and maintenance of power tools, such as a steam cleaning equipment

Maintain stock of cleaning chemicals

Moving furniture as necessary for cleaning purposes

Other relevant duties as assigned by Regional Manager

**Qualifications and Requirements**

Must have experience in carpet cleaning/steam cleaning and general cleaning job

Previous experience in cleaning within a restoration (floods, disaster recovery, etc.) is strongly preferred

Possessing of Asbestos Certificate will be an asset but not required

Physical fitness and stamina for cleanup work

Must have high attention to detail and quality standards

Familiar with and able to operate restoration and steam cleaning equipment

Knowledge of PPE and safe work practices. Adhere to personal safety standards by wearing the appropriate protective gear and using the right equipment

Must possess a valid driver’s license (Class 7 holders are not eligible)

Must successfully complete a security clearance

Flexible to work 5 days a week, may include weekends, emergency on-call as needed.
