Security Professional - Former Military / Police - Short Term Work

- Job Title: Security Professional
- Location: Calgary or Edmonton Hub
- Salary: $40-$50/hour
- Shifts: 12 hours
- Schedule: 7on-7off, day/night rotation
- Accommodations: Hotel and per diem provided

**Overview**:
Allied Universal is seeking experienced former military or police professionals for a short-term project in Edmonton. This role is crucial for ensuring the security and safety of the site and involves working in a 7 on - 7 off, day/night rotation with 12-hour shifts.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure the security and safety of the site.
- Monitor and control access points.
- Respond promptly to incidents and emergencies.
- Collaborate with the team to maintain a secure environment.

**Requirements**:

- **Former military or police background**:

- **Must be able to commute to Calgary or Edmonton Hub, Additional travel from these Hubs can be provided by Allied Universal.**:

- Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail
- Valid Alberta Security License
- Legally entitled to work in Canada for 40 hours in a week.
- Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client-specific sites.
- Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently.
- Ability to work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow, or heat.
- Occasionally lift or carry up to 20 kilograms.
- Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift.
- Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time.
