**SECURITY PROFESSIONALS REQUIRED FOR PERMANENT FULL TIME WORK (Salary: $20. 56/hour)**

**Duties include, but are not limited to**:
Check identification of staff entering the facility

Issue visitors with correct identification and ensuring that it is returned on completion of visit

Conduct foot patrols of buildings

Conduct mobile patrols of property

Observe and report suspicious activities and persons

Detect or prevent thefts and vandalism

Write detailed narrative reports and maintain daily activity reports

Enforce rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and respond to emergency situations requiring security assistance

Resolve conflict situations whilst staying calm and collective

Use communication devices such as radios and cell phones

Follow radio and emergency telephone procedures

Ensure that safety and emergency procedures are followed

Respond to alarms and other emergencies

**Requirements**:
Ability to deal with high pressure situations

High school diploma or equivalent required

Have a reliable vehicle to travel to the site

**Must have VALID Alberta Security License**

**Must have VALID Advance/ Non-GDL Driver's License** **(May be requested to provide 5-year drivers abstract upon hire**)**

**Must be flexible and be able to work days, afternoons and nights**

Read, understand, and clearly speak English; constantly use speech and hearing (correctable to normal level required) in communicating with public/co-workers, giving, and receiving instructions, using phones

Be available to work morning, afternoons, evenings and overnight

If applicable, valid work visa

Must display exceptional customer service and communication skills.

Intermediate computer skills to utilize innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites.

Stand or walk constantly (for up to an entire shift) on various surfaces

Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift

Drive for multiple hours at a time

Occasionally bend/twist at waist/knees/neck to perform various duties

Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds

Run as needed

Must be able to frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting; will require strong computer skills

Must have a strong attention to detail

Work in various environments including adverse outdoor conditions such as cold, rain or heat

**Salary: $20.56 /hour**

**QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS**:

- Be at least 18 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
- As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background check
- Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
- Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
- Able to:

- Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
- Occasionally lift or carry up to 20 kilograms
- Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
- Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
