**Course Code and Title**: CSCA08H3 - Introduction to Computer Science I

**Course Description**: Programming in an object-oriented language such as Python. Program structure: elementary data types, statements, control flow, functions, classes, objects, methods. Lists; searching, sorting and complexity. This course is intended for students having a serious interest in higher level computer science courses, or planning to complete a computer science program.

**Course Enrollment (est.)**: 600

**Number of Positions (est.): 1** (Up to 65 hours).

**Duties**: The successful applicant will be in charge of all aspects related to auto-grading student work. This may involve working on the assignment starter code and modify it to ensure it properly interacts with the automarking system as well as addressing students' concerns about their auto-grading results. Other duties as required by the course. Duties of this position shall be performed at the campus on which the position is located.

**Sessional dates of appointment**: September 3 - December 31, 2024

**Salary**: Sessional Instructional Assistant - $52.26 per hour.
